The 7th Annual Midwest Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic, an event run by Sub-9 Productions, has sold out nearly two months in advance of the June event. The annual clinic is to be held on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Brown County State Park in Nashville, Indiana.
Now entering its seventh year, the Midwest Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic offers a chance for participants to learn new mountain biking skills using the proven methods of the International Mountain bike Instructor Certification (www.beimic.com) at one of the top mountain biking destinations in the Midwest. With nearly twenty IMIC certified Coaches and Instructors available already the Intro, Beginner and Intermediate classes have sold out with only a few Advanced openings remaining.
The weeklong event begins with IMIC certification courses led by two-time World Masters Downhill Champion and IMIC Master Coach, Shaums March on Wednesday, June 6, 7 and 8. The one-day Level I IMIC Ride Leader and three-day Level II IMIC Instructor courses are still available to a limited number of participants. The weekend brings a one-day Intro and Beginner Women’s Mountain Bike Skills Clinic and one and a half day Intermediate and Advanced Women’s Mountain Bike Skills Clinic. A two hour Youth Clinic is also available to boys and girls ages 8-12 years old. Women also have the opportunity to look at new products, talk with experienced women in the cycling industry and learn about the importance of trail advocacy, safety and etiquette. Event participants enjoy an entire weekend of camping, cookouts, mountain biking and more. The 2012 event also features the Liv/giant and Trek Fit for Women demo trucks.
The Midwest Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic is held annually at Brown County State Park in beautiful Nashville, Indiana. The world-class Brown County mountain bike trail system offers 25+ miles of trail for beginner to advanced riders and has been built entirely from scratch for mountain bikers by mountain bikers. In 2009, Bike magazine named Brown County as one of the top 33 trails in North America, and it was recently included in the 2011 class of IMBA “Epic” locations.
